A ductless mini-split isn't the answer for every home, but for the right situation, nothing else comes close. Here's when it's the smart install, whether you're conditioning a space for the first time or replacing a unit that's worn out.
01No ductwork
You're finishing a space that has no ductwork
An attic, basement, garage, or addition where running ducts means opening up walls and ceilings. A mini-split doesn't need any of that.
02Uneven rooms
One or two rooms are always too hot or too cold
The central system can't balance them, so a mini-split conditions just those rooms and leaves the rest alone.
03Window units
You're done with window units
They're loud, they block the window, they barely keep up, and they come out every fall. A mini-split mounts high on the wall and runs quietly year-round.

Why get a Trane Mitsubishi ductless installation
A ductless system runs on the same kind of inverter-driven compressor as Trane's own high-efficiency line, modulating output to the room instead of cycling on and off, which is why a mini-split holds a steady temperature quieter than equipment built to run at one speed. Mitsubishi is the ductless brand we install, alongside Trane and RunTru on the ducted side, so each head answers to its own thermostat instead of one setting for the whole house.

Most single-room systems go in within a day. A multi-room system with several indoor units can take two, and we'll tell you which upfront.
02Do I need one unit for every room?
Not always. One outdoor unit can run several indoor units, one for each room or zone you want handled. We size it to your space.
03Can a ductless mini-split heat my home too?
Yes. It's a heat pump, so it heats and cools on electricity year-round, with no gas line or separate furnace needed for that space.
04Do you charge for the installation estimate?
No. The in-home estimate on a ductless install or replacement is free. We only charge a diagnostic fee on repair visits.
05Do you offer financing on a new system?
Yes. We offer Service Finance with no fees to you, so a larger install can be spread into manageable monthly payments.
